Alex Jones: NWO Wars
It actually kind of is a bit better than I had expected. I expected it to be way worse, to be honest with you. This is really something special. This game is truly fascinating. I feel like I’m actually doing really well. Game of the Year, clearly. I mean, clearly. Better than I had expected, yeah. God-tier gaming right there, absolutely. Music’s great. Yeah, better than Shadowlands.
ALTF4
I hate this. Bro, this is like Dark Souls but the whole game is Sen’s Fortress. I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing. I’m out of control. They can’t stop me. They can’t stop me. I can’t stop myself. Trust me guys, whenever I start learning I never forget. I’m not gonna mess this jump up. I bet a million dollars I won’t mess this jump up. See, I told you. I told you I’d get it right. Now we get into winning mode. They can’t stop me now. Nobody can stop me. This is my own game now. I make the rules. You never think. The more I think, the more I die. You have to rely on your primal instincts. The moment that you think, that’s whenever you die. I’m the dumbest person that’s ever existed in the history of existing. I said it’s the last try because I know I’m about to fucking win.
Animal Well
I’m glad I tried it. I think that it’s got some cool ideas. The controls are nice. Once you get it down it feels really good. I feel like that’s something that matters a lot. The game’s pretty good. This is kind of like Dark Souls, but everything is different from Dark Souls. The Zelda vibes for me. It was a great game.
Another Crab’s Treasure
I’ve actually really enjoyed this game, I thought it was amazing. It might change my life. That guy is no joke. This crab game is basically crab Dark Souls. I’m stressing boys. I’m so bad under pressure it’s actually embarrassing. The fight’s really good, I’m just playing badly. This game is good, it’s a good game. This place kind of reminds me of Bloodborne, like the fishing hamlet area before Orphan. I hate delay timing, I feel like it’s a very cheap way to have difficulty. The game is great, I just get so stressed and mad.
Anvil Empires
I’d rather play with a spear, like get in there, right in there, make it happen. The stamina is limited. This is amazing, we’re making good progress. I’m leading the charge. Easiest game of my life. Feels good to be a winner. This game was fun. This was fun. That was a good game.
Arc Raiders
I heard good things about this game. Game looks pretty nice so far, I’ll tell you that. I went out there and I lost everything to a Roomba. This is brutal. I’m getting finessed by Roombas, this is awful. I feel like the AI is a little bit overzealous, a little bit aggressive — at least as a solo player it’s a bit much. It’s oppressive. I think it’s probably funny to watch. I think Arc Raiders is a great game. It’s a lovely game. If you’re talking about, movement, like you’re jumping, hitting buttons, right? All these things are very good, but I do think that these drones are so aggressive. They have AI to come at you from two angles. I spent more time dealing with the drones than other players. I get that’s part of the game, I think that’s fine, but I think there’s probably too many flying ones. It felt like I couldn’t really play as much of the game as I would want to because of that.
Arknights: Endfield
I really like the game; it’s fun, and I enjoy it. It gives me something to do where I can just turn my brain off—it’s like a video game fidget spinner—and I don’t want to have to think when I’m playing, I just want to do whatever I want. The rates in this game feel abysmal, though; I’m hitting hard pity on my first run and that’s really bad. I hate the lever mechanic, it stresses me out and it’s annoying extra work. I feel like I deserve to be luckier than I am, and when it keeps missing it just gets frustrating. At one point I’m thinking I hate this game, what a piece of shit game, because it feels like it’s screwing me. Then I spike a win and it’s the easiest game of my life, winners win, I never lose the 50/50. The sword looks badass, I like that a lot, and when I finally hit it I feel great. Overall, I do like the game and I’m having fun with it, but the gacha swings from hype to irritation fast depending on how the pulls go.
Ashes of Creation
I hate forced PvP and forced grouping — if you put that in a game people are just not going to play it as much. Making quest objectives consumable and competitive is not fun, it’s extremely annoying, and that’s the kind of thing that makes people quit. The spontaneous open-world events are super, super great though. Mounts persisting after you get off them is one of the best things in this game. Once I got out of the crowded starting area it became a lot more enjoyable and relaxing and fun to play. The mount handling feels good, some of the talent trees seem pretty cool, and the game is way better than it was years ago. I like the draw distance of the game, this is really nice. Having the area where there’s a bunch of these high level NPCs everywhere, you’re just engineering frustrating outcomes. I don’t want to play PVP to level, the quality and the type of leveling should matter.
Assassin’s Creed: Shadows
Overall, after spending more time with it, I’d say the game is okay — it’s not bad, but it’s not great either. The movement feels really, really bad; every ledge is basically a wall unless you deliberately trigger vaulting, so just navigating the world doesn’t feel smooth. Attacking and defending are actually quite good, but moving around fundamentally doesn’t feel good, especially on mouse and keyboard — if you’re selling on PC, you should expect people to use that. The stealth mechanics are kind of goofy and the NPCs are dumb, and there are a lot of easy ways to take advantage of that. Locking the other main character several hours in feels like a mistake, especially when he’s marketed so heavily — it’s frustrating and not really explained. At the same time, it’s not the end of the world; there are cool moments, some decent combat encounters, and the game can be fun in stretches. It’s just uneven — solid in parts, clunky in others — and ends up landing in that “fine, but flawed” space rather than feeling impressive.
Astrobot
I tried this game before and I thought it was quite good. These levels are pretty good. I’m going to be honest. Some of these are actually pretty good. Damn, they put an assload of work into this. I’ve got to say some of these are pretty good. The mechanics are fun and there are a lot of little things to do. I like finding all the coins and the little guys hidden around the level. A lot of this stuff feels like it was taken from other games. Honestly, the game is basically everything stolen from Nintendo. But it’s still good though. It’s still fun to play. The levels themselves are actually good though. The puzzles are interesting and some of the mechanics are pretty creative. Overall the game is fun and it’s definitely a good platformer.
Balatro
This game was considered Game of the Year. A lot of people have told me to play it, so we’re going to try it out. I don’t know how to play poker really. I don’t really play cards and I don’t really understand cards. I feel like it’s an interesting game. It’s good. I would say it’s not bad. I have to play it more. I just need to play it more. Once I play enough, it’s super fun. I only played it for like an hour.
Baldur’s Gate III
Holy shit, this game is some crazy shit. God damn, that was brutal. That’s scary. This is a badass cinematic. This is fucking cool. I forgot I was even playing a game. This game has way too many options. This is too many options. I’m going to be honest, the mini map is really kind of shitty. This camera thing is weird. It’s hard for me to get used to it. I think the story actually seems interesting, and the interplay between the characters is cool too. I’m very much not a turn-based game kind of guy, so I expected I wouldn’t really like it. Overall though, I think it’s been enjoyable.
Ball X Pit
I’ve heard this game was quite good, and my first impressions are better than Mega Ball—this is a genuine, bonafide video game and I would recommend it so far. I didn’t understand how it works at first, so it took me time to figure it out, but fusion’s big and the combos are where the damage really comes from. The more you can bounce, the more damage it does, and balls deal more damage after hitting the back of the field—otherwise damage is reduced—so positioning and back-wall bounces matter. Lasers are huge, and the lasers are what really does the damage; I’m fully invested into lasers, but having so much investment into laser can put you at a disadvantage. Dark and ghost to curse enemies is good for single target and it dots everything up, and poison feels like it carries when things have so much health. I have to minmax everything—this has to be a perfect run—and when RNG is bad or I miss key upgrades, I’m in a very bad position and it feels like the run is over. Some enemies have mechanics that spike pressure—those angels steal your balls—and visibility issues or fast gray mobs make it harder to keep up. The meta is bouncing it back and forth and staying locked in, because if I get to the boss I can beat any boss, but the waves and ads can be worse than the boss. Overall, I love this game, it’s really fun, they cooked with it, and it actually made me look forward to streaming tomorrow.
Battlefield 6
I’ve got to quit this game—I’m uninstalling this shit, I’m never playing this fucking game again, massive waste of time. Good game though. Game’s great. It’s a high-quality, good game, but it makes me feel really bad to play because I feel like I’m just losing and I’m just awful. Things happen so fast in this game—I can’t react, I’m too slow—and the time to kill is so fast that by the time I realize I’m getting shot, I’m dead. There are so many times I can’t even see what’s happening; it’s such chaos, especially on the close-quarters maps. I never understand why the shotgun sometimes kills them and other times it just doesn’t do anything. I keep getting caught between guys, always surrounded, always outmaneuvered. I tried putting a thousand hours into an FPS before and I never improved, so after that I just quit because I felt like I was wasting my time. I can only make jerky, fast flick motions—any controlled movement, I just can’t do it—and that makes these kinds of games miserable for me. I know myself: I won’t get better, and if I keep playing I’ll just make myself mad. It’s not that the game is bad—it’s just not for me, and it’s not worth the stress.
Black Desert Online
The character creator has really high quality work. Striker looks cool. The environment looks really nice. I like being able to aggro multiple mobs like this, this is cool. This leveling is fast. The questing is kind of slow and boring, but this isn’t really a game that’s known for its story. I kind of like the visuals of the game, I think the visuals are good. The open world is good. I’m not really a huge fan of the movement in the game. I feel like moving the character is like driving a car. I don’t like not being able to just keybind my abilities and press a button like in other MMOs. The combat is more like a fighting game style and I don’t like that very much. The Awakening stuff is really cool though.
Black Myth: Wukong
Wow, oh my God, this is amazing. This is better than I ever could have imagined it being—I thought it was just going to be a good Souls-like, but my God, how did they even do this? This is insane. Game of the Year for sure, and it’s not even remotely close. This had no right to be this good. I’m rating 10 games a 10—just a solid 10. There wasn’t really any aspect of the game that was lacking or bad: good leveling progression, real build diversity, a strong story, great graphics, insane animations, huge variety of bosses, and everything felt really well balanced. The boss fights were amazing, especially Erlang and the final stretch—it’s one of my favorite games already. I had extremely high expectations for this game and it exceeded them. If there’s anything I’d want in a sequel, it’s more open-world opportunities to go off the beaten path and explore, maybe fewer invisible walls—but as it stands, it’s a perfect game.
Blasphemous 2
These cinematics are really cool, holy shit. This place looks fucking badass. That’s a cool system, it’s like rings basically, right, but I think they have like set bonuses and stuff. I really like the way the game looks. I feel like the charge attack doesn’t do that much. I hate doing these long jumps. Animation’s too long. I hate the run backs, man. The mace is the best weapon in the game though, it’s so good. I really like this game. I like their take on Catholicism and the imagery they use, I find it really compelling. The soundtrack’s great. I don’t think the game’s that hard.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
It’s really incredible to me that something like this was created with 30 people. If you told me this was made by a thousand people, I would say yeah, for sure. It’s $50 too, which is also what’s so crazy about it. This game was just insane. It was amazing. Unequivocally, yes. Without even a second of hesitation, this is a 10 out of 10 game. If you’re going to play one game this year, this is that game. Definitely deserves game of the year. I think the act two reveal was the real climax of the game. The ending of act one was the craziest thing that happened. The whole canvas reveal is why a sequel is hard, because once you’ve already defined it, the impact is minimized. I think the game was really, really well tuned until act three, and after that the tuning wasn’t as good. If I was going to criticize one thing, I would say the number scaling went like this, and that made it hard to balance. I think the music was really good. The gameplay was really good. The story was really good. Graphics were incredible. Everything was really good. It’ll be hard to beat this for game of the year. This game can easily take half the awards.
Code Vein
These are stupid. These are so dumb. This is dumb. Oh my god, dude, you can make such a stupid character with this. This is so edgy, oh my god. What the hell is this? I got Frosty on my neck, what the hell? We have created an abomination. It’s beautiful. This is totally a game for simps. This is 100% a simp game. This game shouldn’t be compared to Dark Souls against anything. The story is better than Wo Long, that’s true. So far it’s the worst thing about this game: you can’t jump. I did not expect it to be this good.
Codex Mortis
It was better than I expected. I thought it was going to be worse. This is the worst that AI video game development will ever be. It’s only going to get better from here, which is what’s crazy. It ran smooth with the amount of bones on the screen. It went really well. I was expecting that. Overall, it’s pretty good. As an AI generated game, it’s not going to be perfect or anything like that, but overall it’s pretty good. It’s inevitable that a game like this is going to do well. It might not be the first one or the second one, but it will be one. It’s going to happen. AI video games are not necessarily what people are thinking about; what’s going to happen is games designed in unison with AI. Once people realize that AI is not an indicator of poor quality, and it becomes commonplace, then it’s not a big deal.
Concord
Whenever you’re giving robots pronouns and you have pronouns on character selectors and then every character seems like it’s checking a box, it does take people out of it. I think to say that that had no impact on Concord, I mean, this is the emperor’s new clothes. Look at the characters, they look awful. Why would anybody want to play with that? It was ugly, bad, and boring. It’s just a big robot, it’s just literally a trash can. If you look at the player base and nobody’s playing the game, if a game was fun to play you’d see more people playing the game. Concord is going to be one of those fish that crawls onto land and just dies, this game is not going to evolve, it’s already dead. The problem is not a lack of innovation, it’s a lack of quality. It feels like this is a PR ad for Sony, it doesn’t even feel like it’s a review. Every time they put out a fluff piece on a game that was received badly they cut their credibility in half. First impressions are the most important, and once people decide they don’t like something you never really get that second chance. How could you do this, Wukong is an eight and Concord is a seven. I’m worried they’re doing this because they’re afraid that if they don’t give it a good review Sony won’t give them access to future products
Conquest Dark
Conquest Dark plays very well, the graphics are good, and the art style and old-school fantasy vibe are exactly what he likes. It’s more like Halls of Torment or Death Must Die than Vampire Survivors, especially because of the class leveling, artifacts, faction reputation, and deeper character progression. Ranged is better early, Ricochet is insane, attack speed accelerates everything, and projectile count snowballs the build. Movement speed is secretly a DPS gain, and healing matters because once you start losing you keep losing. The game scales hard, mob scaling can outpace your damage, and builds that use block and reflect can keep up because they scale off enemy damage. The Oathkeeper reflect build is extremely strong when the relics line up, and once the synergy clicks you can stand in the middle and everything dies. Casters and dodging enemies are the real threats, one-shots can happen fast, and the endless scaling can get so extreme it even crashes the game. It’s still early and needs more cooking, but the systems are there, the build variety is real, and with the right upgrades it feels broken in a fun way
Core Keeper
This mortar is actually broken. It just instantly blows everything up. I like this game because it’s relaxing—it’s simple, it’s not super complex, it’s not really that hard, it’s just a good fun game. This map is massive, it’s a big map man. I think this game is missing some quality of life upgrades it really should have, and inventory is probably the biggest pain point in the game. I’ve been playing this a lot off stream and I actually really enjoy it. The music is good too—I think the game overall is really good. I like exploring because if I want to see what’s somewhere, I can just go there. I’m trying to play it the same way I played Valheim, just playing the game for fun instead of forcing myself to progress. It’s a good ass game, I’m really into it.
Corepunk
What the fuck is this game bro, this looks like some DeviantArt shit. Okay this is Early Access, so it’s probably not going to be completely ready. That is pretty badass. I kind of want to go with the samurai, I feel like he’s way cooler. I think that I’ve created my perfect character. I don’t really read anything that I see. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing. Easiest game of my life. I have no idea where to go or what to do, literally no idea. I like the dialogue, it’s kind of hard for me to get into it though. In general I think the game is okay, but in some ways the game is kind of regressive. One mistake a lot of games make is that they frontload the player with a bunch of information. This game tries to introduce four or five different systems together and that’s really the difference. It was really hard for me to pick up and figure out everything that’s going on. They should just add quest tracking, because I just don’t know where to go whenever I’m playing the game. I don’t see any benefit to having click to move be the only option. This game has a combination of really modern systems and very old-school systems, and I feel like that’s going to create dissonance. I think the game has a lot of potential. The dialogue was really funny.
Cyberpunk 2077
The level of detail this has is nuts. I remember the first time I played this game and I was like what the hell, this is insane bro. This city is really big, I’ve been kind of surprised how big this city is. There’s like no loading screens or anything in this whole area, it’s actually kind of insane. I like the part where they drive you around like this because it gives you time to just look around. You can skip it but it’s interesting to watch the way the game is, it’s immersion. It’s immersive, better than quick travel or a loading screen. That sniper is nuts. Look at that damage bro, the sniper is insane. The amount of movement that the guns make makes it hard to aim man. I’m going to be honest, sometimes I literally cannot aim in this game. What a good game.
Dark and Darker
I actually think this is dumb. The combat is kind of similar to Kingdom Come a little bit, it’s really really really slow but it’s very deliberate. I thought this might be like a Minecraft Fortnite game and I tried to left click the table and beat it up. I didn’t really like the game that much to be honest. I like how this game is like an alpha, like an early alpha. This game’s kind of fun, I think this game has potential. I actually learned a lot, I know how to spam my spells now with meditate. I’m kind of understanding the game now. I feel like our damage is really bad. I feel like our damage is low, there’s not a lot of it. This game’s kind of good to be honest with you. Definitely in my opinion there needs to be less chests but more stuff in the chests.
Dark Souls 1
Honestly the only thing that annoys me in this game—like literally the only thing—is not knowing where the save points are; that’s probably the only thing I don’t like about this game, the fact that I don’t know where the save points are. Blighttown was pretty easy now that I think about it, a very, very easy place compared to other stuff. I’m not very happy at the fact that I got this really cool item the exact moment that the game’s over, that’s kind of stupid to me. This is probably one of the best games that I’ve played in my whole life. I absolutely love this game and everything about it is enjoyable, it was just incredible, the entire journey was amazing. One of the things I like the most about it is that the game doesn’t have a difficulty setting, you set your own difficulty within the game depending on how you play and what you equip, and I think that’s really cool. I will be playing Dark Souls 2, I’m even gonna play Demon Souls after this, and I hope they make a Dark Souls 4 or something soon too because this is really, really incredible. As you might suspect Dark Souls is not a happy game and both endings are horrible, they both suck because everybody dies. The beginning of the game up to and including Anor Londo and getting the Lord Vessel, I think is the best experience in gaming. There are other experiences that are as good, but there is nothing that’s better. That’s it, but you don’t get any higher or any better than that. The best game I’ve played since WoW. I still can’t get over how good Dark Souls 1 is. It was something really special about that game.
Dark Souls 2
It’s a bad game. I don’t know why so many people struggle with accepting this obvious fact that Dark Souls 2 is a bad game. It’s just a fundamentally bad game. The systems inside of the game are bad. The bosses are bad. The world design is bad. The mob placement is bad. I don’t know what you want me to say. The first three hours of Dark Souls 2 are the best in my opinion, but I just think it sucks, that’s about it. I would probably stick with the game and beat it if I hadn’t beaten it before, but because I’ve already played it I don’t feel compelled to beat it. I just don’t think the game is good, it’s just annoying to play and I don’t like using the controls, they’re not the same as the other games. Dark Souls 2 is designed to piss you off, and I don’t really like having things make me mad. There’s an eight hour video explaining in detail all the things that are wrong with Dark Souls 2 and it’s completely right on every single point. It’s an objectively bad game and the worst game in the series in a number of objective ways. Things like the hitboxes being bad aren’t really an opinion, that’s just a fact, it’s bad period, that’s an objective flaw in the game. Just because there’s a way around bad game design doesn’t mean that it’s not bad game design. I think on a structural level it’s a bad game, if you get down to the very bare bones skeleton of the game it’s bad, the framework and the way characters move and interact with the environment and the responsiveness are bad. There are some good things about Dark Souls 2, like you can level up multiple weapons and it doesn’t have the same tight limit on upgrade materials, but overall I just don’t think the game is good.
Dark Souls 3
Playing this game has been amazing, I love this game. The best games I’ve ever played period, it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played: it’s challenging, it has depth, it’s interesting, it’s fun, and it’s mean. No microtransactions in this game, there’s DLC yes of course, but the game is incredible, it gives me hope for future games and to play other games besides this because I know that it’s possible, I know that you can play other games and not have it be a hollow meaningless experience. I’m blown away. My personal opinion is, did I like Dark Souls 1 more—Dark Souls 1 is vanilla, well Dark Souls 3 is Burning Crusade. Dark Souls 3 has better combat by far, Dark Souls 1 has a better world, that’s just the way I feel about it. I can see why people would like Dark Souls 3 and I don’t think they’re wrong, this is my personal preference, and I can admit it could be purely based on the fact that I played Dark Souls 1 first and it was my first experience. Dark Souls has proven to break that stereotype that good games were ending in the past; I think Dark Souls 3 came out in 2016 and it proves you can still make a game like this.
Death Must Die
This is insanely good. I feel like I’m way farther into the game and I’m only two minutes in and I’m already level 13. Look at this guy, that guy just got annihilated. It’s one of the best updates to a game like this I’ve ever seen, it’s actually insanely good. They added an entire talent tree, they pretty much reset the gear, and they rebalanced some of the really overpowered things. The way they rebalanced the game makes it harder to do something that’s really broken, which is kind of a good thing. I feel like attack speed enables everything, that’s basically how I see it. The crazy thing is I can’t even keep enemies on the screen anymore. That boss died off screen. I’m hitting for like 7,000, that’s way better. I love this game.
Deep Rock Galatic: Survivor
This game is so hard. I’ve never been challenged like this before. The second level of this game is harder than the hardest level in HoloCure and it’s not even close. It’s harder than Vampire Survivors, it’s harder than Halls of Torment, it’s harder than Death Must Die. It’s actually the hardest game in this genre and it’s not even close. You have to manage your experience, the health of the boss, the supply pods, the mining, your movement, your upgrades, and your planning all at the same time. The mining mechanic feels directly antithetical to the leveling mechanic. It feels really bad whenever you end every level leaving a bunch of experience on the ground. I do think the hitboxes and the core gameplay of this game are extremely good. The base pickup radius feels too small because I’m constantly leaving behind massive amounts of experience. I think the monsters do too much damage, like one hit does a third of your health pool. I think it’s a great game and I’d absolutely recommend it.
Demon’s Souls
This is a great game, this actually is a really really great game, I had a lot of fun playing this. Some of the bosses were genuinely challenging and fun, others were a little bit of a disappointment. Overall I think the graphics in this game and the setting of this game is what I think every fantasy game should aspire to be, I loved playing this game man, there were a few dumb parts of it but overall that was like, you know, it’s part of the game, I’m really happy about this man. I am so glad they redid the game, I am so glad that I waited to play this game, what a massive upgrade, huge difference dude. The UI is so shitty in the old game, I’m so glad that I waited to play this game. This is incredible, this is pretty amazing, I like this a lot, I’m so impressed by that, it’s crazy how this game became what it is now. Wow, what a game, what a game man. I’m going to be honest this game was amazing, I love it, it was great, it was fun, and I’ve had a great time playing this game.
Diablo 2
Oh wow, what the fuck. Oh my god, okay, that’s the original game and that’s the new game. This game’s easy. Bash sucks, dude. Maybe Bash is good. Damn. I’m enjoying the game. I like that. I like whenever I kill the mobs, that’s the best part. Damn dude, I’m big dickin’ this. I can see why this game was so good. It’s like you’re starting off just in a cemetery fighting zombies. This is awesome. This game seems fun. I like the way it plays. I enjoy it. The way it plays seems good to me. I just wish I had an AoE ability. That’s the only thing I really have to complain about. I like the game. It’s fun. It’s actually an enjoyable game to play. I’ve enjoyed it, man.
Diablo 4
Diablo 4 right now is actually in a pretty decent state. I think that a lot of the mechanics and the way that they’re designed is a little messy. Just the way that your character interacts with environments is kind of not great. Blizzard always does this where they have really crazy scaling discrepancies. These guys with the shields are super hard to kill, and the ones without them are infinitely easier. They don’t really balance things properly. I think the mechanics in the game are just really not very good. Sometimes things will instantly kill you, other times they won’t do damage. I think the bosses were kind of shitty. I think the way that mechanics and abilities in the game are telegraphed is really bad.
Diablo Immortal
I’ve only spent two thousand dollars on this game. The reason my character is very powerful is because I spent real money on it. You only have five buttons, so there’s not a lot of things you can do wrong. People have been saying that this game is nothing more than a slot machine simulator that steals your money. I would beg to differ— in a slot machine there’s a chance that you can make your money back, that’s not the case with Diablo Immortal. You only have to spend five hundred an hour, yeah that’s it, it’s a free game besides that. I don’t think Diablo Immortal’s combat is that good, I think it’s okay but it’s not amazing. This game certainly is a game. I really don’t like it. I think loot boxes should literally be illegal. To be honest with you, I think this game is boring. The only thing that makes it entertaining is watching streamers burn twenty-five dollar bills.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Do I get to play the game now? I got to pet the dog. I ain’t reading that. That thing sucks, I don’t want that. Long sword garbage, literal shit. The visuals here look pretty good, I like them. I think the game feels okay to play, but it’s not amazing or anything, it just feels okay. Pretty good game, guys, I had some fun. I think the game is a 6 right now, it’s a 6. It’s not terrible. I feel like it’s too easy, and I probably should have played it on the hardest difficulty.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero
This game is amazing. This game’s really, really fun. My experience playing this game was really fun. I would say my experience playing this game was around a 9. It’s dumb fun, but I like that a lot. I beat the game in five hours and that’s pretty good, especially considering I spent a lot of time on character select and stuff like that too. I feel like I haven’t even really played the game yet. This game is a solid 8, a very, very solid 8 game. If you’re a Dragon Ball Z fan though it could be a 9.5 or a 10. This game caters to its target audience, and that’s a fact. I think playing this game makes you feel like you’re in Dragon Ball Z. I think locking down that fantasy and doing it in a good way is a huge accomplishment, and I think that was really impressive.
Dragon’s Dogma
I hope I’m going to like the game—I really do. A lot of people are having conversations about how I wouldn’t like it, and I hope they’re wrong. It’s like I’m doing a quest within quests to actually know how to play the game—that’s nice. I keep trying to lock on, man. You don’t really have a dodge roll, so you actually have to walk around enemies. These mobs have so much health. I’m a god. I think this is a game I don’t really want to play on stream, to be totally honest. I actually like the game—the game’s fine—but I don’t like streaming and playing games that I don’t understand very well that aren’t really simple.
Dragon’s Dogma 2
I personally think it’s really frustrating to fight mobs that are so fast that once you start losing the tide of battle, that’s it, because there are a lot of delay animations and you can get overwhelmed and stagger-locked. I tried to skip mobs and I couldn’t, they never deaggro, so the solution is just never try to skip mobs. I would recommend the game; I think it’s a great game, even though there are a lot of things I’d want to be different. A lot of the combat feels like a momentum battle: if you have momentum you win, but if you start losing it, it can feel powerless and miserable. My opinion was the game was good, like an 8.5, and then the end-game “dark world / berserk eclipse” part happened and it totally caught me by surprise and pushed it up. I think this game is a 9.5, and that end part was insane and my favorite part by far. The reasons it’s not a 10 are there was no huge secret omega last boss fight and the mob variety felt bad until the later mode added more enemies. I hate timers; I don’t like games that put you on a timer for anything because I don’t like having to rush. Performance issues are a big deal and literal dogshit, and they make the game worse, even though I didn’t personally experience them. I don’t care about story in games, and most of the story was boring to me, but the very end was awesome enough to counterbalance it.
Dreadmyst Online
I do think this is a good game, it’s a really good foundation and it’s a lot better than what I thought it was going to be if you want me to be honest, I think this is actually a pretty good game. There’s a couple of things that I’d want to see changed, like I’d like if you could zoom in in the game, it feels weird that it’s a fixed isometric perspective without even the ability to zoom in. I think having to press auto attack every single time is kind of annoying and I don’t really think it adds a lot of gameplay past like level three. A sell junk button would be really nice, and sorting and clearer item comparison would help because there are a lot of items in the game and it can be overwhelming. Anytime a video game makes me make an account when I’m already logged into Steam, unless it’s a game I’m really excited for, I’m like are you kidding me. The music is really, really nice, it’s great. I think everything else is pretty much fine, it just probably needs more content and some kind of endgame thing you do. It’s good if the year is 1998, it’s a 1998 game, but I think it’s got a really great foundation.
Dune: Awakening
My first impression so far with the game is that it’s really not great, honestly, I’m just going to be honest: it’s really not that great, and I’m going to try and put a little bit more time though. I think the combat sucks, and I compare my experience playing this the first time with my experience playing New World—it’s not even in the same universe. When I’m playing this game, it reminds me that I should be playing another game, and I think New World looks a lot better than this game, I think Once Human looks also a lot better than this game, and at least the gunplay is more focused. I will not tolerate any excuses—I don’t want to hear any reasons for why it’s okay for it to be mediocre—because I play Once Human, it’s fun immediately, I play New World, it’s fun immediately, I play Lost Ark, it’s fun immediately, I play this, it’s not. I don’t care about the water meter and the sun meter, I don’t think they really improve the game, it’s just kind of there, and I see this game as just another one of the same survival type games that I’ve played a bunch and I don’t really see it being super exciting or interesting at all. The UI I think sucks, it’s boring, it’s just running around, and if I wasn’t on stream, I would have already quit—as soon as I couldn’t figure out how to move that thing around, I’m just like, “Okay, this is stupid.” The game just sucks: the graphics suck, the story is weird, the dialogue is weak—it’s not for me, it’s not engaging, and if you want me to play it more than an hour, you should have made the first hour good.
Dungeon Fighter Online
This looks like it came out on Super Nintendo. That’s crazy, oh my god. It gives me really nostalgic vibes. It looks cool.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins
It looked pretty cool, so I was like okay, let’s try out the game. This guy is so cool. It was too overwhelming for me to really understand what the hell to do. There were so many different systems, I just couldn’t keep up with all of it. I just can’t process new information like that on stream. The game seemed okay. It seemed fine. I think it was fine, but it was too overwhelming for me to really understand what the hell to do. I’ll probably try and play this when it comes out so I can learn the game, because I feel like I’m going in here with so many different systems and I just can’t keep up with all of it.
Elden Ring
Elden Ring is like one of the greatest games I’ve played in my entire life. I want to play Elden Ring for a thousand hours. I love it. I think it’s an incredibly good game. There are some elements of it that I think are fucking garbage though, right? For sure. But overall, I love the game, and I cannot truly love a game unless I hate part of it. You have to have the duality, and if you can’t have the duality, it’s just not there. Very rarely does a game with as much hype as Elden Ring truly live up to the hype, but this is one of those exceptions where despite the highest praise and highest expectations, those expectations are not only met but exceeded. This is probably one of the greatest games I’ve ever played in my whole life, it’s not even remotely close, and it makes me not even know if I can go back and play Dark Souls without thinking it’s not Elden Ring. I never expected the game to be this good, I thought it was going to be good, I thought it was going to be lit, but this is just unbelievable. This is one of the best games I’ve ever played, I’m just astonished, they actually popped off. I cannot get over how good this game was, it’s so good, and honestly I think that final boss was easy once I understood it.
Elden Ring: Nightreign
Thoughts on the game so far? Um, honestly, I don’t like how rushed it is… it’s very fast-paced and it’s hard for me to keep up with everything ’cause how fast it is… the time pressure actually makes it a lot less fun for me. I don’t like when games add time pressure to me… it makes it to where like I can’t really think… I can’t process things… I have high mental latency… mental lag… brain delay… and so whenever I’m rushed it’s hard for me to keep up, I can’t really keep up honestly. There’s all these systems… leveling and crafting and material stuff… all these random items… it’s confusing. Reviews are tanking on Steam?… if there’s too many people that are bad at the game, then maybe the game’s bad… I don’t know why people think about that. And then I tried archer and it’s like, ‘I wasn’t having fun, now I’m having fun… I don’t have to do anything anymore… I auto aim… how’s this even fair?’ The class is so much better and if they want to balance it, make it like red mage, add interplay so it’s not just mindlessly auto attacking, but don’t make the one fun class less fun, make the other classes more fun. Overall, I don’t think it’s really that great… it’s all right, but there’s a lot of stuff that’s not really fun to do, big disparities between classes, and the first boss combo is unnecessary friction—not challenging, just frustrating, contrived difficulty—like locking on makes the grass and camera obscure the other NPC, and blaming the player for using a mechanic they’re supposed to use is dumb. If it’s not designed for solo play, you’ve created a game that’s going to frustrate 95% of the people that play it, you shouldn’t expect people to squad up in Discord just to enjoy it, the res mechanic kind of sucks because it forces you to look away mid-fight, and even if a good player can overcome it, it’s about whether it feels good and whether a bad player can still have fun.
Enotria: Last Song
This is a new game; it’s basically Italian Dark Souls. I played just a little bit of the demo and I liked it. The game is extremely slow and deliberate. I don’t mind it so far. I have very low standards for games like this—as long as the combat is good. The parry in this game is really strong. The window to parry is pretty generous. Jumping in this game is kind of hard. There’s a lot to this game. This game plays a lot like Dark Souls 1. I like the game. It’s simple, but it scratches the Dark Souls kind of itch.
Eternity Egg
This game looked so ridiculous on Twitter that I thought we would try it out, and yeah, it definitely is a skitzo game, like a Dreamcast acid game that looks like it came out on Sega CD. There’s no settings—I can’t do anything here—it’s just new game, load game. The first level is already hard, like what the [ _ ], this is the first level and it’s already hard, this game’s super hard. I really hate to say it, but this game plays extremely well—it’s very responsive—and I’ve never played a game like this at all. I was really mad trying to figure out that wall jumping thing, I was like what the fuck is going on, and when that boss killed me and respawned me at the beginning of the stage I was like maybe I should just go lay down. It made me feel like I was watching Attack on Titan—you’re hopelessly outmatched, everything is against you, the entire game is made for you to fail, it’s massively punishing. But there’s a rhythm to hitting the pogo stick at the right time where there’s actually a degree of gameplay there. Watching somebody that knows how to play the game really well that’s practiced it is probably going to be pretty fun to watch. Did I have fun playing the game? Yeah, I did. I’d say the game was pretty good, it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be—actually that’s not true, this game was exactly what I thought it was going to be, whatever my expectation was, this game pretty much met the expectation.
Fall Guys
I actually think I’m really good at jumping. Democracy is a joke. This is a sad joke. I can’t believe it, we’re actually going to play this; I haven’t played this in years. I did really well, I’m actually a god. Watch me get a dub on my first game I ever play. They put me in front because they know I’m going to win. I still win, I’m still number one—even when I lose I’m number one. I’ve never lost this map before. I like this game; it’s fun, and it’s easy to understand, so it’s fun to watch. The less competitive a game is, the more competitive I get with it. If it’s a dumb game for kids, I will dominate that game. Sometimes you get got, but I’m going to win the next one. I always win—watch me win. This game is fun to play, but after you play it for a week or two you kind of get bored of it. Maybe add guns into the game, a laser beam, a dinosaur, a truck you can run people over with, proximity voice chat—then you’d have a good game. I hate this stupid map. I hate this stupid game. I’m still going to win. That’s how it’s done right there. I’m a literal god at this game.
Fellowship
This is basically like a WoW. This is this is pretty much like WoW isn’t it. I feel like it is it’s pretty much WoW. I feel like this is a downgrade from Mythic Plus in every single way. The Fidelity is lower, the game play is worse, it’s not interesting, there’s too many trash packs in the dungeon that I did, nothing about this seems enjoyable to do. I think that the boss fights are interesting but I think this game would be like like a million times better if you just took out 80% of the trash and just had boss fights. Like as a WoW player like I feel like there’s nothing really that this game does that WoW doesn’t do better it feels so uninspired. Just got to be honest it sucks. I don’t care how hard the game is I want it to be fun to play. I have the policy that if a game is not fun within the first like 10 minutes of me playing the game, the game’s garbage. I hope that developers can make the game a little bit more exciting I think that one way that you can make the game more exciting is by deleting 90% of the trash.
Final Fantasy XIV
These quests are really simple, and it’s not as bad as I thought. It’s so crazy how good my gear is, and I’ve had the biggest come up of all time. I’m actually just like a god with all the best gear now and it happened out of nowhere. This is my first actual real raid thing, and I feel like us trying to defeat the ultimate weapon is going to be pretty hard to do. Some fights are way harder than the other ones, but a lot of it feels manageable once everything comes together. It’s so cool to actually see this because now I actually have an idea of what the world really looks like because before it was so fragmented. This is bad ass, man. Now we get into the raids and now we get to have the fun time.
First Berserker: Khazan
This game seems pretty decent so far. That heavy attack combo is really strong because it just stuns him every attack. The game looks too easy. I don’t think it’s really that challenging right now, but I’m assuming it’s going to get harder over time. Combat feels pretty good. I think that boss has too many incidental attacks to be a first boss, but it’s pretty decent. The spear is a decent weapon, but I personally don’t think it’s better than the great sword. I think the great sword is just stronger for what the game is designed for. The game is really good. It’s not like the boss is bad. I’m just bad.
Five Hearts Under One Roof
This is already worth it, what a game. It’s fun and it’s good, and I actually did enjoy the game a lot. The game’s super simple, but there’s a lot more to it than I thought, and the replayability is great. I think a lot of people were looking forward to seeing this game again because people were very big fans of it the first time. I’m the target audience, honestly, and that’s obvious. It’s the kind of game where you try different routes, make choices, mess things up, and see what happens, and even when I completely screwed things up it was still entertaining. There’s a lot of character interaction, a lot of fanservice, and it definitely knows exactly who it’s made for. This makes me want to get a girlfriend.
Ghost of Yotei
I will say the graphics are pretty good. The quality of the game is amazing, like even her character model is really good. I don’t know why this didn’t come out on PC. I hate playing on a console. It’s a pretty good intro. The combat’s okay, at least so far. It’s not like anything crazy. It’s just like there’s a lot of sword games that follow this same paradigm with the exact same type of abilities and everything where it’s like you have unblockable attacks and parry-only attacks. I wouldn’t really say it’s particularly innovative, right? But you don’t always have to reinvent the wheel with every game either. So kind of like first impressions and everything with the game, it’s all right. I mean, it’s good. It’s not like crazy or anything. It’s just good. I think the story is kind of just fine. The story is just like you’re this lone samurai woman trying to avenge her family, and I feel like it’s a pretty simple story that we’ve seen many times. Overall I think it’s okay. It seems like it’s probably above average for a game. PS5 exclusive kind of sucks. I liked Rise of the Ronin a lot more than I like this game. I mean the game was okay. It certainly didn’t get me in or excite me. Tried it out. It’s okay. It’s nothing really super exciting. I don’t really see myself wanting to play through the whole thing.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink
I feel like my character is really slow, I’m going to be honest, I don’t think he’s that good. The game is kind of designed around you leaving it on and AFK grinding it, and to me that’s not really a good way to design a game. If you can just AFK it, why not remove the problem and remove the grinding instead of having both. I think this game actually is pretty good and I feel bad that a lot of people don’t play it or care about it. It’s kind of surprising because the player base for the game is actually pretty big. This is probably one of the only games that actually feels finished nowadays. It’s a good game and it’s better than people give it credit for. I think the story is kind of stupid though, and that probably stops people from getting to the endgame. It reminds me of a GameCube era Final Fantasy game with the art style and characters.
Hades 2
I did enjoy the game a lot and I actually really thought it was a great game. Hades 2 coming out definitely excited me. This is way better. This boss is really hard. The game’s great. It’s a great boss too. It’s not a bad boss or anything like that. It’s just going to take me time. I feel like I had the right play style. I just made gameplay mistakes.
Half-Sword
This is goofy. I love it. I’ve never played a game like this before. I don’t even know how it works. Why is the character movement so janky? Because I don’t know how to play the game. This one seems easier to control for sure. This game is hard, man. I think the game is pretty good. This game is basically a combination of QWOP and Dark and Darker. Yes, it’s QWOP with combat. That’s literally about it. It’s jank, but fun. The concept is great and it’s really funny in my opinion. I think this is a really good game. I’m always looking for little fun games like this. These are so fun to play.
Halls of Torment
I think it’s probably the best indie game of the year for me at least. This is a solid 9/10, if not a 10/10 game for what it is. The aesthetic of the game and the intro is absolutely phenomenal. The aesthetic is a 10/10. I think the boss music for this game is better, I like it more. The quests are amazing, I really really like these a lot. Each level is amazing, I love it. I think the items are probably the biggest achievement this game has because of how good the item system is. In terms of the classes, I think the classes are amazing. Character selection is perfect, it’s super intuitive and obvious.
Helldivers 2
I have heard a lot of very good things about it. This game has been so popular and done so well that it’s caused half of my Twitter feed to be arguing about whether Starship Troopers was a good movie or a bad movie. I don’t know what to expect out of this game but I’ve just heard so many good things about it. Damn what a intro holy. I really like the aesthetic of the game. The game plays well and to me that matters a lot. I don’t know if I really am going to like the gameplay loop or not. I feel like something like this would be a lot of fun in a group. Playing it solo felt kind of empty. Overall I think this is definitely a group game. The reason why I would try this game again is because the game plays well.
Hogwarts Legacy
This was really badass and I also think the ending of the game was really cool. My overall opinion is I think this game is a solid 8.5. In terms of combat I think the combat is pretty good and I like the interactions between spells. I don’t like the fact that you have to cycle between menu bars, I find it to be very cumbersome and annoying. I also don’t like the fact that you have to unlock different ones even though I understand the reason why, I still find it relatively annoying. The mob variety was very, very bad. There was almost no mob variety. The mobs you were fighting at the beginning of the game were the same mobs you fought at the end of the game. I wish there were more bosses in the game, more random bosses to fight. The quests and the story of the game were pretty good, and the Sebastian questline was great. I overall feel like this is probably one of the best wizard combat games that I’ve played in a very long time. I think the gearing system for the game is boring, but the completionism aspects of the game are really good. The graphics for the game are incredible and Hogwarts itself was amazingly designed. The game is incredibly well polished and I hadn’t seen a single bug even after about forty hours.
HoloCure
I feel like I am as close to ready as possible. I am more prepared than I could ever possibly be. I feel like this is going to be the easiest game of my life. All I need to do is stay alive, if I stay alive I win. This character is so good. It’s insane, like it’s absolutely insane. I’m actually doing it by the way, I’m doing it. Everything is going just fine and all I have to do is do this for long enough and the fight will be over. I did it, I did it. Winners win, easy game. I beat it, I beat every stage, we did it, we beat the game. I can’t believe it. I’m feeling really good about that man, I’m feeling really good.
Holo X Break
The guy that made HoloCure made this game and today we’re going to try it out. Range is meta. I do feel like I’d be better off as melee, to be honest. I really think melee would be way better. I feel like the gun 100% was the right choice. The knockdown is actually really good. It’s not even the damage, it’s just the knockdown that does so much.
Honkai: Star Rail
I think it gets around being turn-based, which is good, by having a lot of things you can do outside of the turn-based activities. This is actually pretty cool. This place is full of fancy little gadgets. This reminds me a lot of Genshin. This is like Genshin. The combat actually feels pretty smooth. I feel like her damage is so low. That ability is really strong. The character designs are really good. The animations are really nice.
Hytale
I do really enjoy this video game, it’s great. I don’t know where to go and find the other bosses, I don’t know how to approach playing the video game, and I haven’t found any other bosses. I’ve been playing this and I’ve been enjoying it a lot, but I haven’t wanted to make a lot of big progress in the game because I wanted you guys to be there for it. The game is a good game, but there’s a lot to be desired, and I think the beginning of the game needs to be a little bit more guided because right now I feel like I’m in a position where I don’t really know what I’m supposed to do. It’s just better Minecraft, and a little quest or something like that would help a little bit. It’s a very relaxed game, I can just play it and turn my brain off. I like the game, but I think that there are a lot of things that are lacking, and my opinion of the base game is that the base game is kind of lacking in that way. The base game is a good foundation, it’s early access, and I think this game can be really good. It’s a nice game, it’s a good game for sure, but it’s nothing that’s super crazy. The game feels unfinished in a way that other games that were similar to it didn’t feel unfinished.
Inzoi
This is absolutely a game made for girls. It’s literally just made for girls that are cat ladies. The game is a decent game, but it could have been a lot better with more interactivity. They have a really good foundation for what they’re doing, but they need to add in more things that you can interact with and more things that you need to do. A lot of it feels kind of shallow and the features are pretty limited. It’s janky and kind of unfinished, but it is early access. I think it has potential and it’s a really good start for a simulator game. Games like this really thrive when they let you pretty much do whatever you want and pursue different fantasies. The genre itself is definitely popular and there’s a lot of demand for simulator games like this. I think it’s a decent game overall and some people are definitely going to enjoy it.
Jump King
Holy shit, this is annoying. Bro, is this a joke? There’s no way. This is fucking ridiculous. People can beat this game, so if other people can beat this game, I can beat this game. Dude, oh my god. This is such a piece of shit game. It’s so finicky, man. I’m not like—oh my god—fine motor movements, I don’t have it. There’s a reason why I play a warrior with a giant two-handed fucking axe. I’m not about that little finicky finesse with the dagger. I don’t know what I can step on and what I can’t step on. I hate finicky games like this. They really fuck with my hands, man. It makes me feel old whenever this happens. I don’t have the mental for a game like this. I get too upset.
Kill Knight
This reminds me of like Blasphemous or Berserk. This is badass. On keyboard it’s actually not so bad. The perfect reload thing really makes a huge difference. I’m actually kind of surprised how hard this is right off the bat. This game is very, very hard. There’s so much happening in the game that my brain shuts down. This game is like Vampire Survivors but the difference is that I have to hit the buttons. The combat, the gameplay is very good.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Now that I know there is a gay option, I am thinking constantly about every interaction I have with Hans. The only thing I really don’t like about this game is that I can’t just randomly go around and kill people, and I’m not used to that at all. This game looks great though, it’s really nice. The combat’s brutal and there’s a lot to it, and I feel like I’m kind of just making a million mistakes because I don’t really understand what I’m doing. I feel like a fish out of water in this game honestly. I don’t think the game is bad, I actually like the game, but I don’t like playing long-form RPG games like this on stream. It’s a game that I would probably enjoy more off stream where I can settle in and figure everything out slowly over time. I don’t think this is a game problem, it’s more of an Asmongold problem. The game itself seems really fun, but I’m trying to put a square peg into a round hole by playing it the way I am. Complex long-form RPGs like this just aren’t really something I enjoy playing on stream. I’d probably have more fun taking my time with it instead of trying to figure everything out live.
Last Descendant
I think that a lot of the bosses in the game are pretty good. It’s not like the greatest game ever made, but it’s a pretty good game. It synthesizes a lot of existing tropes and ideas together from previous games in a good way. The story is just literal dog shit garbage. The missions are kind of repetitive. Shooting things and everything like that feels pretty good. The fundamental gameplay, like how it feels to shoot somebody, feels very good. I think the game’s all right, I’ve been enjoying it. The gameplay is good. It’s like a 7/10, somewhere around there.
Last Epoch
I would say leveling in the game feels very kind of slow at the end, like it really slowed down a lot. I think that playing through this game and especially the campaign was very good, I really liked the campaign. I liked that you were able to craft gear while you were doing the campaign because in most ARPGs you hardly ever craft, you just pick up the loot and go. Because crafting in this game is very easy to do and inventory management isn’t really that much of a chore, you feel like you’re able to make on-the-fly decisions and change what you’re going to do pretty quickly. I think the abilities in the game feel extremely good to use and the combat has a feel-good element to it, but it also has a certain level of clunkiness to it that could be min-maxed to be better. I would say the lower level leveling experience in Last Epoch is the best out of the three games, better than Path of Exile and better than Diablo 4. I really like the idol system, I think it’s really cool. I think the crafting system is nice and interesting, and for most players it’s going to be much more in line with what they’re comfortable with compared to Path of Exile. The monolith system is okay but it can feel repetitive and I don’t find the end game as interesting as Path of Exile’s end game. Last Epoch undeniably provides more customization options than Diablo 4 but less than Path of Exile, which makes it a good middle ground between the two. Overall I like the game, I’ve enjoyed playing it a lot and I would recommend it if you like ARPGs.
League of Legends: Swarm
It’s actually pretty good. That was hard. It’d be really cool if the active cooldown on these abilities showed when they’re about to come up. I think that would be cool. I’m getting walled because I get two bad rolls. The boss was all right. It was hard because my movement speed was too slow.
Legacy: Steel and Sorcery
Movement feels fine and it’s pretty responsive. The jump attacks are a lot like Monster Hunter jump attacks where the animation for them is super fast, like instantaneously, it’s actually really good and probably overpowered honestly. This version of the game definitely has a lot more polish than before. I do think Hunter is better for not dying, but I feel like overall Warrior’s better all things considered because the DPS is so much higher. The heavy attack does so much damage and it feels really good to use. This game is definitely balanced around group play because the monster health feels very reasonable with three people but when you play solo it’s oppressive. It’s a lot like Dark and Darker where the idea is to go in, get gear, and extract with it. The game seems very fluid compared to the internal build we played before and it’s like a thousand times better than that. I think the idea of the game is really good and playing with voice chat made it a lot more fun. It’s early access for a reason and there are a lot of things they still need to improve, but it has a good foundation.
Lords of the Fallen
I love the aesthetic. I think the aesthetic is great. Everything about the visuals I think is good. The controls are snappy, the controls are good. That boss I just fought, it’s not super exciting or fun to fight against a giant monster that you can barely see. You get punished for getting hit by attacks where the majority of the animation and telegraph happens off screen. A lot of Souls-like games fall into the trap of making bosses really big but not realizing the reason big bosses in Dark Souls are easier is because the hitboxes are very generous. Combat is pretty good overall. It was pretty fun to play and it was enjoyable. The character throws itself forward so much whenever it attacks that it becomes frustrating in areas with a lot of ledges. The game is good, I had fun playing it.
Lost Ark
Lost Ark is the game right now, there’s a lot of people playing it. It might actually hit a million concurrent players, which is unbelievable. It’s a completely free game, you can play it for free and access all of the content for free, but they have microtransactions and you guys know I’m not a fan of that kind of thing. The game is popping off and I’ve enjoyed the game a lot and I’m probably going to just keep playing it. One thing this game does really well is that it integrates cinematics and interactions so everything about the game feels good to play, there’s no jarring loading screens and it’s seamless. I really like the way this works, it’s great. The controls are totally fine and I’ve had no problem adapting to them. I like the climbing in the game because it feels very natural and not annoying or bad. This class is really fun and this is exactly what I expected. The damage is really high and it’s insanely good, it just feels like I can do whatever I want. This class is so fun and this is exactly what I wanted to have.
Marathon
I think that the game is cooked. People didn’t like the aesthetics of the game. They didn’t like the gameplay. They didn’t like the mechanics. They didn’t like the fact that they stole the art. There is basically no W that this game had. It seems like it is Concord 2, I’m sorry to say. I don’t see how they recover from this.
Marvel Rivals
I think the idea of the game is really good and some of the characters feel insanely strong when you figure them out. This character is insane, this might be my new main. I feel like this game can be kind of chaotic sometimes because there’s so much happening on the screen at once. Tanks actually feel really strong in this game if your team assists you and follows up on what you’re doing. I think this character is really strong, I don’t know if he’s S-tier, but he definitely feels powerful. Sometimes you’ll just have games where your team doesn’t help you and there’s nothing you can really do about it. Overall I’ve been enjoying the game and I’ve had a lot of fun playing it.
Mechabreak
The missiles are really effective at long range. I’m still trying to learn how to play. I think we’re improving a lot. That went really, really well, that went insanely well. I’m starting to understand how to play the game now. The invisible sniper is the worst character in the game, it’s actually the dumbest character in the game. This is a good game, I might play more of this tomorrow. I do really enjoy this game though, it’s great. It does not play as well as Armored Core 6, but Armored Core 6 is a literal perfect game. For somebody who isn’t FromSoftware making this game, it really is as good as it’s going to be. If Armored Core 6 is a 10, overall I’d say this game’s like a 7, it’s a good game, it’s a fun game, and it’s well designed.
Megabonk
This game has been popping off and it just hit 100,000 players for the first time in its life cycle. It’s a game that has grown through pure word of mouth and more and more people are trying it out and enjoying it. I feel like I’m already good at this game and I haven’t even played it before. This game’s easy and I feel like I was made to play this game. I’m like a lawn mower, they can’t stop me. I think I did really well there and I feel like I basically beat the whole game. The gun sucks and I don’t like it at all. The fireballs were really good and that build felt way better. The game’s fun and I’ve got to figure out how it works. There’s a lot more complexity in games like this now compared to something like Vampire Survivors and I think that’s a good thing.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
This game is going to be a completely different universe. I kind of like the original to be honest. Yeah, the original’s the best. Stealth’s my specialty. This game is intense. The cutting mechanic is so good. It is, it’s really kind of impressive. That boss was a real bitch. This shit went so hard, bro. I knew this game was going to be good. The game’s awesome. Such a badass game. So good.
Metaphor: ReFantazio
The animation’s really cool. I like it a lot. The art style for this is really clean. This is great. This looks really, really good. I like this a lot. It’s weird to play a turn-based game that doesn’t have autoplay. I think that’s kind of interesting. Thoughts so far, it’s been good. The game’s been fun, man. I really, really like the character and art style. I think it’s actually S-tier. It’s a pretty good game. It got rated really highly, and I’ve enjoyed it so far.
Mewgenics
It’s a cat breeding game, what the hell. I’m actually good at this game. Jesus Christ, I’m actually good at this game. Slippy does crazy damage, this is actually really good. Honestly, I think we beat the shit out of him. The abilities are make-or-break and you always have to be on the lookout for abilities that can combo. None of these are really that good, they’re really just not that great, but it’s all right. The game’s fucking rigged. It’s rigged. It’s a good game though. It’s a fun game. I think this is better than I thought it was going to be. I’ve never played a game like this before in my life. I didn’t plan on playing it this long. I might play more of it tomorrow.
Minecraft
The graphics are actually this bad? This is normal? I don’t know how this works. This is a complicated game. Give me a break. I feel like I’m the Primitive Technology YouTube guy now. This is perfect. The axe cuts wood really fast. Holy shit. So you have to use a different weapon for each area? Oh fuck yeah, it is just like Age of Empires. Yo, this shit is scary. This area is fucking massive, man. This is too stressful for me. Bro, this is a kids’ game, and I just got demolished.
MiSide
I have no idea what to expect in this game. It was recommended by one of my mods, so I’m going to try it out. This is a nice place. These dailies are about as easy as a gacha game daily, let’s be honest. It’s actually a gacha game. I feel like this is pretty good, right? This is like what working in an Amazon fulfillment center feels like. So I had to go to work to buy her a TV? What is this? I’m already lost. I’m getting stressed trying to find this battery. Oh my God, yeah, we got ourselves an e-girl. Oh my God, is this what those games do now?
Monster Hunter Wilds
The Guardian Arcfeld set is just better in general because it gives me more solutions to problems. I don’t think I played very well but I’m satisfied that I did okay there. Some of the movement in this game is kind of annoying to do. I love this, this feels so cool. I feel like my build at a baseline is really good, it’s not the best build for clearing bosses really fast but it’s extremely efficient and really good. Gunlance is my new main, this is it. I heard there was a lot of quality of life added in Wilds versus World. I wish I could play World with Wilds combat. I think Wilds will probably get multiple years of postgame support like World did. I think this will be bigger than World honestly.
Monster Hunter World
I feel like the game was very good, it was a lot better than I had expected. Watching videos before playing it made the game look janky, but once I actually played it it didn’t feel janky at all. I really like the environments, they were really nice and the game feels grounded. The hardest boss in my opinion was Nergigante and I think it’s the best designed boss because the skill cap for that fight is extremely high. There are a lot of great bosses in the game like Rathian, Diablos, and Pukei-Pukei. I think Deviljho is extremely well designed because it punishes the strategy of just running behind the monster and attacking, which works on most other bosses. The only boss I genuinely didn’t really like was Anjanath because the fire attacks and some of the hitboxes felt kind of bad. The UI for the game was garbage and it wasn’t intuitive to me, but once you understand it then it’s fine. The great sword hits feel really good. The base game bosses were pretty good overall. The game was very, very good and I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
This is insane. This is so calm, look at this normal average everyday game. This is nuts, man, oh my God. This is actually pretty much exactly what I had expected. I think that we might have to give it like a day or so for this to kind of balance out, because there are just so many people here. This is insane. I think that if you have whitelisting it removes the excitement of it. I think that the excitement is having a bunch of random people. I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with the game at all. I actually don’t think so in any way, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it or anything like that. It’s not the game at all, it’s just that there are a lot of people and people are really excited that I’m playing the game.
Mouthwashing
Everything about it was entertaining. Wow, that was really good. That was fun. That was a good game. I was impressed. I think that it was really good, man. It was great. They’re creative, they’re interesting, they’re mature. It’s engaging. It has adult themes. It does them in a way that’s not patronizing or stupid. It’s thought provoking. I liked how mechanics played into the narrative. I think the quality of the experience for this was very good for me. I enjoyed it a lot, and I think that they should keep making games. I think they did a great job. This was awesome. They took a risk and it paid off. The fact that the characters are not just one dimensional makes them very interesting.
Needy Streamer Overload
What the hell is this? Okay, so it’s a mod simulator. This is so realistic. This is really like a girl’s stream. Wait, 193 people watching on our first day? How the hell does that happen? This is what happens with one bad stream, gentlemen. That’s all it takes. Bro, she’s spiraling. She’s just literally spouting off conspiracy theories on the stream, like this crazy anime girl that’s gone. She’s out of her mind. I had no idea what to expect with this game, dude. I had a lot of fun, man. It was great, and the music was good.
New World
I really like this opening I think the opening is really well done. Overall i feel like blocks are too easy to do for being a 100 damage reduction and also dodges or rolls take too much stamina to use in order to make them worthwhile versus a block tank meta yeah this is my opinion. The game feels good, the combat does seem a little bit bland but that’s the same as any mmo at the beginning of it. In terms of the crafting system the crafting system seems pretty straightforward and interesting. The way that it looks is also good. I really like how the game teaches you how to use the different things. The real thing that defines whether the game is going to be good in the future is like what the end game is, like how does the end game work, and the end game is really what matters the most in that situation. Right now what do I think, the game seems really good so far I am enjoying the game. It’s been fun for me. I think this has been a good adventure and I’ve enjoyed playing the game a lot. It’s been a great adventure and that’s what MMOs are for, the content matters but what keeps you logging in every day is the people you play with.
Nightingale
This is like the Hogwarts Legacy character creator but for teachers instead of students. These characters just look so weird. Every single survival game starts off with picking up rocks and sticks and then you put the rocks and sticks together to make a rock stick axe. Graphics are nice, I like the water. Water looks really natural. This is the longest tutorial ever. I think the gathering is okay. There’s nothing that’s really hooked me on it. My first hour of playing Enshrouded and Palworld was better than my first hour of playing this game. The game looks really nice. It’s got this weird eerie painting-type look to it. The gathering is kind of boring in general. I just don’t think it’s super great. I think this game is okay.
Nioh 3
I have been playing the shit out of this game. I really like it, actually. I still believe that Rise of the Ronin is their best game that I’ve played, but Nioh 3 is becoming better and I’m beginning to enjoy it more. I think that in terms of graphics and everything, Nioh 3 is a better game, not just graphics per se but style. This developer makes the same video game every three years; it might be called Rise of the Ronin or Wo Long, but it’s the same game and all the stats and the combat are the same. I think these games are harder and more punishing than FromSoftware games. If they ever want to make these games super popular and mainstream, they have to make them less punishing, because right now if you make one error you’re just dead. The stamina system is very punishing too. The graphics for the game aren’t that good, but I think it’s a fun game and I enjoy it. I think ki pulse and cleaning your blade is a shit mechanic and I don’t like it at all. I do enjoy this game though and I think it’s a great game that I’d recommend. If you like games where you run around with a sword and kill people, this is one of those games.
Ninja Gaiden 2: Black
I think it’s a great game, and I really enjoy it a lot. My only criticism is the camera—that’s it—and everything else about the game is great. The scythe is so fucking good; this is my weapon, and the platforming is actually pretty good for what it is. At the same time, I really don’t like the controls or the camera, because I can barely even tell what I’m doing half the time, and I can’t lock onto a target either. I don’t like games that feel claustrophobic where I’m zoomed in and don’t have the ability to zoom out and get a good idea of what my surroundings are. The game is very, very good, but the way it’s designed makes it frustrating to play. There are three things I don’t like: no lock-on, camera zoom-in, and the camera not working—those three things make the game very frustrating and not fun to play.
Ninja Gaiden 4
This game just came out today. I want to try it out and see how good it is. I have no idea what it’s going to be like at all. It’s laggy, bro—like, why is it so laggy? It’s laggy, bro. This lag shit’s annoying… it’s still stuttering. Wow, that is cool. This is cool. Yeah, this actually is pretty cool. The lag is crazy. It’s really bad, isn’t it? I’ve never had an AMD graphics card before. I can see why—I’ve never had this problem. I’m really curious what this game is like on a harder difficulty. What a good boss fight, by the way. That was a good fight. In general, the game’s good. Very good game. I’ll probably play more of it tomorrow.
No Rest For The Wicked
This sword feels really good. Destroying things in the game feels good, I like that. Map design in this game is insanely good, yeah it is, I like it. This place is so interconnected. I’m going to be real, the sword feels really good. I really like the L attack it does, it reminds me a lot of the Dark Souls 1 zweihander. This game seems not piss easy. I personally would have liked if the mobs respawned and I had an Estus flask so I could spend more time doing combat and learning mechanics. I don’t think this system is necessarily bad, there are advantages to building the game this way too. I really like the gameplay, there are just some of the systems where I wish things were different. Overall I think it’s a good game, it’s been fun.
Old School Runescape
This is more customization than WoW, actually. You are not wrong. This game genuinely has more customization than WoW. I look good. I look really good. Look at me, boys. That was easy. I beat the game already. This is how people level all the way up to 99, isn’t it? That is a lot. This is the same UI that WoW has. WoW stole it. This game is simple. No wonder people still play it. The wilderness is where you can hang out with chat. This is how they changed the game? Wow. If WoW had votes like this, you could completely ruin the game. This is great. The league is like crack. That is so much fun. This game is endless. It is cerebral. The first time I ever played this game, I thought to myself, “This is the greatest game I have ever played in my whole life.” A good game has stories like that, and I really appreciate the way it has been developed. I think people can look at the way OSRS has been made and be thankful that it exists.
Once Human
This is insane, there’s got to be a better way to leveling than crafting. If this is an exploit then they have to nerf it. I do feel like leveling in this game is a little bit slow. I feel like I’m always massively underleveled for an area. I think the game’s fine. I don’t really think the game even has much of a weakness. Overall I do find the game to be pretty enjoyable. The game obviously has some issues and it’s not perfect. The game is not really that hard, some of the bosses are kind of hard though. This game is a fun game, I like it.
Only Up
Damn, this place looks like a real shit hole. Wow, what a shit hole this is. Look at the world, this is cool. There’s a lot in this game. I don’t really understand how the collision mechanics work. Sometimes colliding with an object is easy and other times it’s not. The edges like this are very easy to deal with and extremely simple. The problem is when you’re dealing with circular objects because you don’t know where the collision edge is. The collision edge mechanics in this game are not super good. This is the opposite of therapeutic. This is annoying, I can’t see anything. This is a joke, easiest game of my life.
Over The Top
The game’s great. It’s fun, man. I’m feeling pretty good about this. It’s not easy in this game, not going to lie. This gun is insane, guys. Guys, I think I found my main class. I love this game. The game is very, very good, though. It’s very, very good. It’s a fun game. Dude, this game’s actually popping off.
Palworld
This game is really good. I would 100% recommend this game. I had a really good experience playing this game pretty much start to finish. Were there frustrating moments in this game? Absolutely, but overall they were few and far between. If I had to rate the game, I would say it’s like an 8.5-9/10—it’s really good. The gameplay is good and the progression is good. It actually just kind of feels fun on its own. I thought it was going to be like a meme game where you just blow up Pokémon and it’s fun for a day, but I didn’t expect the game would actually hold my attention for more than two days. I kept playing it because the game felt fulfilling and I felt like I was making progress. The biggest problem the game has is when your pals get bugged out and stuck, and that can be really annoying. But overall I would absolutely recommend the game.
Path of Exile
This is the game that everybody talks about all the time and you’re going to understand how to play the game today. Obviously pretty easy to understand, you just have to memorize the location of every single one of these. The game can be really intimidating to get into but the truth is I think you should follow a build guide if you’re a new player. I’ve played this game ever since 2012 and they’ve done about four or five really big graphics overhauls. I think it plays better than Diablo 4 because it’s much more open-ended. It’s a really complicated game and even I don’t know a lot about it even after playing it for so long. One thing about this game is that it’s hard, especially compared to something like Diablo. I actually don’t mind playing the campaign because I only play one character most leagues and just focus on that character. Some people try to min-max to the point where they don’t even enjoy the game anymore and I just want to enjoy myself and play. The reason I like this game so much is that it rewards you for learning more about it the longer you play.
Path of Exile 2
I’m very positive about the game. This version of POE is probably one of my favorite versions of the game. The game feels really good to play. I’m excited to just play the game more. The damage is insane. That’s why minions are so good now. I do really like fighting the bosses. I wish that I had more opportunities to do it. I feel like right now the high point of the game is fighting the bosses. That’s the pinnacle experience. I think the areas in the game are way too big. In act two and act three there’s just so much dead space that it feels like a huge waste of time.
Pathways
But you didn’t even explain what the video was in the first place, so how could I have known if it was a good idea to download it or not? The only frame of reference you could have had is whether it might be a virus. This is so retarded. By researching and looking things up yourself to find further information, the game basically says you’ll become radicalized. Ignore your lying eyes and don’t research anything further—if you hear something that doesn’t go along with their thinking, you’re supposed to turn it off immediately and report it. I am so glad that I don’t live in this country. The game says it’s for every ideology, but it only shows one ideology the entire time. That’s a little bit interesting, isn’t it? It definitely wasn’t made by anybody that cares about free speech or free expression. It’s funny, but also insanely chilling. I don’t know how the UK has allowed itself to become this way.
Pax Dei
The graphics look better than they did last time. The lighting’s amazing. The game looks really nice. The graphics of the game are great, it’d be nice to clean up some of the textures because some of them look like default Unreal 5 textures, especially the NPC’s hair and stuff like that, but those are minor things and I think they can improve those over time. I think they definitely nailed the ambience vibe of the game pretty well. I think it just needs a little bit more. I think a game like this goes really hard whenever it’s 80% realism and 20% fantasy so it feels like you’re in the real world but there are fantastical elements to it. The one thing that makes this game more unique is the building system. The more communal building of being able to make big things like this with other players in an MMO structure setting is something a lot of games don’t really have at any sort of real scale. The stamina system is more oppressive than it was. If you took stamina out of the game the game would instantly be better.
Peppered
I said that the game was interesting and that I would try it out. It’s a story-based game, I think, and the premise of it is that you have one chance to do everything in the game. That was a good demo. It was a good demo, I liked it. It was fun, it was clever. I didn’t expect it to be that in depth. He did an awesome job. I thought it was really cool. It was a good game, I enjoyed it. I like the concept. Games like this are always really interesting. Story games that aren’t afraid to take risks are extremely popular, and I think this is one of those games. It proves a good game doesn’t have to be AAA.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Not a lot of menus, not a lot of options. Let’s just start playing. Here we go. Let’s just do it on the hardest mode. There’s a part of this that reminds me of the Dark Souls 1 intro. Okay, I’m going to be honest, this hard mode for the game is hard. Oh, so it plays well. Yeah, it does play well. Yeah, the movement for the game is pretty good, I’ll say that for sure. The platforming in the game feels pretty good. It feels good to move around in the game. I think the graphics for the game are fine. What do you think of the game? I think the game’s pretty good so far. The last fight is a good display of the combat system. Yeah, it’s pretty good. Like with Metroidvania games. I’m putting it on the hardest mode. The reason I usually do that is because in my mind I feel like if I’m not playing the game on the hardest difficulty and I beat the game, I didn’t really beat it. The game is good. The game’s good.
Raft
This seems like a relatively realistic game. I’m starting to get the hang of this. Holy shit, it’s loot boxes. Dude, I’m actually really good at looting these. I feel like my skills in PUBG are starting to pay off. This game is actually kind of good. You know what this game does? It makes me appreciate ocean pollution, because if it wasn’t for ocean pollution we would be dead right now. This shit is hard. I thought honestly when I first started playing this game it was just a joke survival game, but it’s kind of difficult to balance everything. This game is insane. This is complex. This is crazy, man. This place is huge. Holy shit. I feel like this game I probably only did like five percent of the game.
Resident Evil 9
What a game. What a good game. I would rate this game like a nine, honestly, like a 9 or 9.5 out of 10. This is a really, really, really good game. Very, very good game. I didn’t expect this at all. I thought it was going to be just shit, basically, but this game is a video game, and there are a lot of games nowadays that aren’t video games. This game was a video game. Resident Evil would probably win game of the year. The game was really good. I didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. It was really, really fun. I was surprised to see how good it was. Honestly, I expected it to be kind of shitty. It’s a great game. It basically was a perfect game. There was nothing really wrong with it. The orphanage part dragged on too long for sure. That would probably be the lowest point in the game, in my opinion. At the beginning of the game, I felt like it was way, way, way harder, and then about one-third into the game it became easy. I do feel happy. I feel very satisfied. I feel good about beating the game.
Relooted
You’re a bunch of I guess African nationals that are breaking into British museums and stealing things out of them. Wait, every activity is just holding sprint. What? So everything I do just gets me to hold sprint. That’s it. The FPS keeps going down. Is there a memory leak in the game? For some reason turning the graphics up actually made it better. This is a terrible idea. “Everything’s free.” No, it’s not free. I’m stealing it. I love how they basically rationalize why it’s okay to steal everything and it takes like three seconds. They’re like, “But you stole this.” “Yeah, but did I?” “No.” Okay, let’s keep stealing. It’s not the worst game I’ve ever played, but there’s a lot of things about it that aren’t good.
Rise of The Ronin
Damn, my name is Tak. I’m a G in the pleasure district. To me, this is where the hoes are at. There’s no way hooking up with prostitutes is part of the main story quest, is it? I really didn’t expect this at all. What is this game, bro? No way she’s going to try and do some OnlyFans photograph. I didn’t even know this game was so open world. I had no idea—like GTA. My opinion is that the game is actually… I’ve had a lot of fun playing the game so far. I’ve enjoyed it a lot. The movement is pretty decent. It’s not S-tier; I think it’s like A-tier. There’s a lot of systems in this game, so it’s hard to keep up with everything at the same time. You see how punishing the game is—if you make a mistake, you’re done—and I’m surprised at how challenging it is. The game is pretty relaxing in general too. It’s definitely hard, but not the worst type where one mistake and you’re just screwed. I’ve actually been enjoying this game a lot. It’s been fun. It’s a good game.
Roblox
Roblox has been in a bit of a situation recently considering the problem that they’ve had with individuals trying to talk to younger individuals. This has been an issue. This is a kids game, by the way. What a surprise, everybody here is over 18. So, they went in and they just deleted all of the bad ones after all the negative press. They cleaned up the whole thing at night, bro. This is insane. I don’t even know what to say. This is scary, man. I’ve never been more pro-abortion in my life. This is the most pro-abortion I’ve ever been. This 100% toxic sludge for children’s minds. What’s crazy to me about this is the fact that the weird stuff with adults and kids is only part of the problem. What the hell is going on in Roblox? This is like the dark web. This is a whole different situation. If nothing else, more parents need to be aware of what’s happening.
Rust
This is amazing. I’m winning. I’m winning, bro. What the hell, this is way better. Yo, this is badass. I’m gonna make—dude, this is crazy. Dude, my house looks really nice. Look at that. This is really, really good. Yes, dude. Yes, dude. This is only the beginning, gentlemen. Oh my god, yes. What an amazing amount of progress.
Schedule I
This game’s amazing. I really think this game’s great. It’s really fun. I’ve had a lot of fun playing the game so far and I’ve enjoyed it a lot. The organization of this is annoying and it’s annoying having to keep up with all this stuff. It’s just a pain in the ass to keep up with everything. The cops feel way stronger now and there are way more of them than before. I feel like selling at scale is better than selling at value. It’s crazy how long this stuff takes to do. This might be the worst day of my life when nobody wants to buy anything. Today was a huge day for selling drugs, probably one of the best days we’ve had. I feel like we’ve made more progress today than we have in a long time.
Soulmask
This looks badass. It’s interesting. Yeah, I like it. There are a lot of mechanics and systems in the game that fit pretty well together in a surprising way. I think the tutorial was really good. For a demo, it’s nice. I’ve been enjoying it. You download it and play the game. It’s pretty simple.
Star Wars: Outlaws
Sure, this looks okay. It doesn’t look awful. It doesn’t look as bad as it did in other cinematics. Looks all right. The music is I think kind of good, I’ll be honest. This is a nice little environment here. In general I do like the game. It’s okay, but I like the visuals of it at least. The cities and the interactions and the conversations with the NPCs in the cities I think are actually really good. I think they did a great job with that. The gunplay in Starfield is better than this game. I don’t think there’s a single thing about this game that I find appealing. I just think this game isn’t made for people like me. The story sucks, the world’s stupid, the combat’s boring, and the characters I don’t care about.
Stellar Blade
The game looks amazing. The graphics for the game look pretty good. I like the music; it’s pretty chill. Most games like this have music like Lord of the Rings or Dark Souls, but this one feels different. The music is good, though I think it’s too repetitive and repeats too often. There’s a lot to this game—there are a lot of systems. I think the reason why I’m having trouble with this game is that every game like this I usually play slow, waiting for the right moment to attack, but this game isn’t built like that. You’re doing a lot of attacks at the same time, and that’s hard for me to get used to. The timing for the parry feels wrong in the game; there’s a delay in it. There are a few things about this game that just aren’t clicking with me. I don’t understand some of the mechanics yet, like the timing on dodges and counters. I’m starting to get the hang of it a little bit more, which is better.
Stormgate
This is really hard. I love how the beginning of every match is this guy just talking mad shit. The Vanguard is pretty well designed. It was good. I had fun.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon
This Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon game has been doing incredibly well. Nobody got paid to play it as far as I know, there was no massive marketing push—you didn’t need an existing IP, you didn’t need anything else, all you needed was a good game. If you like Skyrim and Oblivion, this is pretty much the same game. It also has a little bit more edge to it, and the story is much darker. The dialogue reminds me a bit of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which is pretty high praise. I think at the very beginning there’s a pretty tight learning curve, and then the game gets really good once you understand it. I wish there was a little bit more guidance right at the start, because I was looting a lot of stuff and couldn’t equip anything and it felt weird. There are also some small indie-game level problems, like a bit of stuttering and bugs with summons not working sometimes. But mistakes happen—it’s a new game, and stuff like that is going to get fixed. Overall I’m having a lot more fun now that I understand the systems. It’s a really good game.
Tales of the Shire
What the fuck is this? There’s no gender selector. I can’t even be a man. It’s just different versions of being a fat woman. This is insane. I don’t understand this at all. Is this a game? I can’t jump. I can’t go in the water. There’s a lot of things you should be able to do that add immersion that you just can’t. This is video gaming in 2025. This is it. This is the whole game. All I do is walk around, collect recipes, cook people food, and get more ingredients to cook more food. I would give it a two. It’s a two out of 100. The only reason it’s not a one is because it boots up and functions. The game works, but the problem is that you wish it wouldn’t. I don’t think I’m the target audience for this game. This game is exactly what I expected it to be.
The Coffin of Andy and Leyley
It got a tremendous amount of attention on Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch. There are a lot of people that have very strong opinions about this game. I don’t really know what this game is about, but I want to try it myself. This seems pretty normal so far, I don’t know why people are mad about this. Okay, now I understand why people are mad about this. This game is wild.
The Day Before
I hate it anytime a game has a long exposition where I’m not playing the game and I’m just going around talking to these NPCs. It feels very laggy to me. That’s kind of the first thing, my opinion is I’m getting major PUBG vibes from this. I don’t really like games where if you die you lose all your stuff because I feel like I just get demotivated whenever that happens and I lose interest with the game. Those types of games just don’t appeal to me. I just don’t like them. I think this game doesn’t really work very well in third person because you can camp corners and know if somebody’s coming. I think it’s very one-dimensional so far. I don’t find it to be super interesting. The game is bad. It’s a bad game. It doesn’t play well. It’s boring, it’s slow, and I think there’s no complexity in it. The hit registration is worse than PUBG. I genuinely think that. I don’t think the game is that good to be honest with you. It’s just kind of boring.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
If you like Skyrim and Oblivion-style RPGs, this game still looks really good even today. The quests are awesome—this whole storyline where you get invited to a party just to secretly kill all the guests is such a cool idea. It’s actually fun trying to figure out how to kill everyone one by one without getting caught. I like how the game lets you approach it in different ways, like sneaking around, poisoning people, or just stabbing them when nobody’s looking. Some of the enemies are actually really strong, though, and you can’t just brute-force everything without thinking. The stealth and assassination mechanics feel really satisfying when they work. It’s also crazy how much freedom the game gives you with quests and choices. Honestly, this quest line is awesome. This is absolute cinema.
The Front
Looks nice. The game looks nice. The textures are not great, but I’m assuming this is done in Unreal 5 so they can probably fix those pretty quickly. It’s interesting this game has a leveling system; most survival games don’t have that. The only game that kind of does is V Rising. Some games make you eat every five minutes and it becomes exhausting, but here it feels more like a sometimes thing. If you’ve got a game made with Unreal 5, people are going to want to see high graphics with it. I actually thought it was kind of decent. I was surprised at the scope of the game; I didn’t expect it to have as much scope as it did. The graphics were definitely kind of a negative. The crafting system was okay, it was decent I guess. I don’t think it’s really that bad.
Throne and Liberty
I think I’ve enjoyed the game more as I played it more. I think the movement in the game could be better. I think the style is kind of generic, to be honest with you, but it’s okay. I think giving everybody the ability to shapeshift is silly and I don’t like it. I think the combat is okay, but it should be a lot better. The stuff in the game being voice acted is one of the good things. My opinion of the game right now is extremely lukewarm. It’s okay, but there’s a lot of things about it that I’m not really a huge fan of. The combat in general could be a lot better. The movement in this game is bad and something about the combat reactions feels wrong. The responsiveness of the gameplay is the most important thing for me, and this game doesn’t feel very responsive. It’s not amazing, it’s just okay.
Tower of Fantasy
What a game. I feel like I’m on OnlyFans. I don’t like that hairstyle at all. That’s like an “I want to speak to the manager” hairstyle. I’m not about it. This looks nice. This is nice. This is the gambling mechanism. We got it. All right, now we’re playing the real game. The first boss already has more abilities than a boss in Diablo Immortal. I like the climbing mechanic. Man, this is cool. This game has so many store items and a battle pass. The game is totally free. The only time it costs money is if you want to have a good character. I think the game’s okay. I want to play it to max level and see what the game is about.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby
I had no idea this was so popular — apparently it’s massive in China and already hit a million downloads, which is insane. It’s a free-to-play application, which means it’s going to be really expensive. You can already see how easy it is to start rolling for pulls and burning currency. This game sounds dumb, but the execution’s good. When people say it doesn’t have much gameplay, I feel like I’m playing the game. The whole reset-every-run structure makes it more of a structured run-based system than something you slowly brute-force over time. It’s simple on the surface, but there’s more going on once you actually understand how to build correctly.
Undecember
Seems good to me. I love life steal as a mechanic because it lets me face roll everything. As I said I think the combat it’s a little uh it’s about to it’s in between Lost Ark and POE it feels a lot more like Diablo 3. It’s a stupid name why would they call it that just call it Path of Exile. I’ll tell you this I played it so far after playing it now for like an hour it’s been fun. I think that there are some objective facts that are positive about this game like for example it is objectively true that the voice acting in this game is above average. I also think the graphics in the game are pretty good. The customization of the abilities seems interesting that’s the only thing I can really say. The combat and the gameplay is actually quite good. I think the campaign is tremendously better than Poe way way way better.
Undertale
I actually thought this game was way better than what I had expected. I thought it was going to be some vegan feels fest but it was actually really fun. I thought this game was a lot better than I expected. I thought it was going to be a bad game but I really enjoyed it. I think it was a really good game. I can see why so many people liked it for so many years. The soundtrack is a banger. I actually enjoyed the game a lot. I’d absolutely recommend trying the game out. It’s a good game, I had a lot of fun.
Valheim
Valheim was so addicting to me that I started going to bed early because I stayed up so late playing it. I’ve really put a lot of time into this game, and I basically know literally everything about it. I don’t care about building at all. I only care about playing the game. I like playing the game, and that’s what’s fun to me. I played this game a lot. I love this game. I really do. I genuinely love this game. I think this is a great game. It’s one of the first games I’ve played that I really, really enjoyed that has this type of gameplay. The graphics don’t matter that much to me. If you have shitty graphics that’s okay as long as you have good gameplay. I would recommend this game. It’s fun.
Vindictus: Defying Fate
I think actually the combat’s great, the animations are a lot better and more fluid than I originally thought. The game looks nice, it just looks like an Unreal Engine 5 game, the graphics are definitely passable and functional. I’m going to be honest, the combat actually feels pretty good. I think this is actually pretty decent, yeah I’m going to be honest, I think this is quite good. The pacing of the attacks is pretty good and the heal animations are pretty reasonable too. One thing that’s kind of problematic is that you can’t really dodge into the monster because the dodge doesn’t really happen the same way. Sometimes the dodge just doesn’t go off and it feels really inconsistent. The boss probably has too much health and the fight just goes on too long. The animations for the bosses are actually quite good in general. As somebody who’s played a lot of soulslike games, I’d say this is actually one of the better attempts at a soulslike. The combat is probably a solid 7/10 at least.
Wayfinder
This is cool, movement is very good, I like the movement. The only thing I think is weird about this game is the fact that you’re playing a named character, I hope they have enough cosmetics to where I can customize my character to feel like it’s my character. The place really looks nice, wow. First impressions, I think the worst thing about the game so far is there’s a lot of dialogue, a lot a lot of dialogue. The combat and the ability to animation cancel makes it feel pretty good, the game is responsive and for me that’s a huge thing. I really like the way this looks, I think it looks great, the style of the game is awesome. The exploration of it is cool and the graphics and style are super cool. The movement and the combat responsiveness are the best thing about the game which for me is a really important thing. This game is so much better than I expected in terms of how it feels to move and fight, but the dialogue just takes forever and it’s super annoying. The gameplay is actually pretty good, unironically good gameplay, the world building and graphics are great, and I like the way it feels to move around and jump in the game. The biggest problem the game has is the server and the queue, but overall it’s been an enjoyable game so far.
Where Winds Meet
The bosses are relatively challenging. The attacks are so fast that you have to read indicators and do it based off timing, I don’t like that with games, it feels cheap. That’s the only thing about this game’s combat I don’t like, other than that it’s great. So far, I think this game is great. This was very fun to play. I’ve been playing this game compulsively every hour off stream that I can. It’s a chill game. There’s so much stuff in the game, it’s actually crazy how much stuff there is. I’ve had fun playing this game. Day 1 experience would rate maybe 8.5 or higher.
Windrose
I would say overall it’s very good — this game’s fun, it’s a good game. This world is really big, man, I didn’t expect this at all. I didn’t expect this to be this big of a game; I thought this was going to be a small demo. If this is already what they cooked up pretty much as an independent developer, this is a full-size game. The good survival games put you in front of an open world and give you very limited objectives, and if you try to do something too early you just get one-shot — that’s whenever you’re really cooking, that’s whenever the games are good. The combat though, it’s really not a combat game, and making it a little bit sharper would be a good idea. Maybe give people an indicator for whether their attacks are going to interrupt a target, I think that would be cool. The level difference is pretty harsh.
World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft is one of the greatest games ever made, and nothing else really replaces it. The game at its best is incredibly fun and rewarding, and that’s why people keep coming back to it after so many years. At the same time, the game has a lot of problems, especially when Blizzard adds systems that make the game feel like a chore instead of something you just log in and enjoy. When the game focuses on good raids, good dungeons, and rewarding progression, it’s amazing. But when it adds too many borrowed power systems and unnecessary mechanics, it makes the experience worse. Even with all of that, World of Warcraft is still a game that people care about deeply, and when Blizzard gets it right, it’s easily one of the best MMORPGs ever made.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
The game has too much yapping, and I’m not a big fan of that myself. I see the appeal of this game, and the character design in the game is pretty good. Gameplay is trash. I think that it’s not great. It’s okay, but there are some parts of it that I’m really not a big fan of. The hit boxes in this game suck so much. The poison in this game is so punishing, it’s insane. I say this game’s a seven.
Wuthering Waves:
I haven’t played this piece of shit for a while. This story was actually really good. It had no business being as good as it was. I beat the shit out of this game. I played like 200 hours into this game. I played it a lot, man. Damn, this looks really good. This is pretty good character design, I’ve got to say. This is cool. I’m going to be real, this is really tight. The update is pretty cool. The new world is nice. It’s much bigger in scope than I had expected, and it looks really nice.
Zenless Zone Zero
When you play one of these games you have to understand this is the whole game. Is this game hard? I have no idea, I haven’t played it. Combat looks great actually, but my honest opinion is I don’t really think it’s amazing so far. Yeah, it feels brain dead. I feel like the tail wagging the dog is what this TV system feels like in the game. So far I like Wuthering Waves more. I think the story for this game so far is a lot better than Wuthering Waves at the beginning. I think the story sucks, just period, I think it sucks. If I were to rate my first experience with the game, I’d say it’s a 6.
